This appointment has made me so happy!

I had been considering taking on a Trustee role for a year but I had not done anything about it. Several things happened at the same time that led to my application to join the Make-A-Wish® UK board last Summer.

I had the pleasure of meeting the Trustee board, the executive team and a number of the amazing children who have had their wishes granted during the recruitment process.

Right now, around 63,000 children in the UK are eligible for a wish because they have a life-limiting or life-threatening condition. Whilst the charity granted a record number of wishes last year, demand is growing meaning that once-in-a-lifetime wishes are taking longer to be granted.

As a Trustee, I’m keen to work with the team, to connect and collaborate with partners, and help work towards our goal of granting a wish to every eligible child. I will now be doing my best to raise the volume of the Make-A-Wish message across the Yorkshire and East Midlands business community.

Please get in touch if you can help grant more wishes – I’d love to hear from you.
